My kind of love: Defiant & Unapologetic!

They'll try to brake up our romance,
They didn't stand a chance.

We have the kind of love that so strong,

We'd be together from now on...

They´ll say that gossip comes from the devil's workshop,

And only true love can make it stop...

I´am gonna keep on, I´am gonna on loving you!

Till the day that I die...

Oh they'll envy us, of everything that we do.

But I wanna say it's wonderful -

When you love someone,
and that someone and that someone really loves you.*

Come find me!

It hasn't felt like this before
It hasn't felt like home before you

And I know it's easy to say
But it's harder to feel
This way

And I miss you more than I should
Than I thought I could
Can't get my mind off of you*

A week of dreams

I've been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
'Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you ... *

Sounding Foolish on April Fool's Day

"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child,
I thought as a child; but when I became a man,
I put away childish things." ~ 1 Corinthians 13:11

...'cept for once a year on April Fool's Day!

Now, speaking of "When I was a child, I spoke as child..."

When I was 16 years old, I wanted to start dating because I'd develop a huge crush on a boy but my mother was very much against it. In my young age, I didn't really know how to communicate how important this boy was to me so I got very dramatic (as I'd seen in the movies) and said, "I love him! I'll die without him." My mother responded with a laugh and said, "Oh really?! You'll die?! This I'd like to see." That was pretty much the first and last time I did things as I saw in the movies. Obviously that wasn't going to work on my mother. Plus I felt pretty foolish after I'd said it. Of course I wasn't going to die! I just met this guy like 2 months before. Since then, I vowed never to make such unrealistic declarations.

Now, you all know that I love lyrics. This is mostly because I love music, words, and poetry and lyrics embody all of those. That having been said, I tend to dislike songs that contain lyrics which characterize the above mentioned unrealistic declarations of love and commitment. With a few exceptions (such as the ones classified as "more realistic"), the songs below will never make it to my iPod.

Theme #1. I'd die without you.
  • "The tears dry, without you. Life goes on, but I'm gone. Cause I die, without you..." from Without You by the cast of Rent.
  • "Cause if you're gone, inside, I'd die without you." from I'd Die Without You by PM Dawn
  • "I can't live if living is without you..." from I Can't Live... by Mariah Carey
  • "Without you in my life, I'd slowly wilt and die..." from Without You by Motley Crue
More realistic:
  • "I miss you like crazy, I miss you like crazy; no matter what I say or do there's just no getting over you..." from I Miss You Like Crazy by Natalie Cole
Theme #2. I'll give you anything/everything.
  • "I'll give you anything you want..." from Anything, Anything by Dramarama
  • "I'll give you everything I am..." from I'll Give You Everything by D-Side
  • "I’ll give you everything (it's yours) all that you’re lookin’ for..." from I'll Give You Everything by Mansun
More realistic:
  • "I'll give you everything you want, except the thing that you want" from Original of the Species by U2
  • "And I would do anything for love, but I won't do that, I won't do that" ~ I'd Do Anything for Love by Meatloaf
Theme #3. Only you.
  • "If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby, If I can't have you, ah ah ah" from If I Can't Have You by Yvonne Elliman
  • "If I can't have you, then I don't want anyone..." from If I Can't Have You by Kelly Clarkson
  • "If I couldn't have you, I'd rather be alone..." from Falling in Love at a Coffee Place by Landon Pigg
  • "Now I know I can't love anyone but you..." from Die Alone by Ingrid Michaelson
More realistic:
  • "You know that I love you, There's no one above you. I said it the last time, But this is the last time. Don't make me over, Cuz I can be faithful. Baby you're my number one. You're my number one." from Number One by John Legend
...makes me wonder about his #2 and his #3. ;) Please don't think I'm a cynic when it comes to love. I very much believe in love as more than a random occurrence. I've been in love many many times...usually with people who have been very deserving of my love and who have reciprocated many times over.

Now be a little childish today and prank someone! I assure you that I've already done so. ;)
